1. Introduction and Acceptance

1.1 These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our websites, digital platforms, and the purchase of products and services from Guan Ho Leong Optical – BDC, operated by Guan Ho Leong Group Sdn Bhd (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1.2 By accessing our websites, submitting any form, or making a purchase from our outlet, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our websites or services.

1.3 These Terms apply to all users of our websites, digital platforms, and customers of our physical outlet at BDC Commercial Centre, Kuching.

2. Our Services

2.1 We provide optical retail services, including:

• Eye examinations (conducted by registered eyecare practitioners);

• Dispensing of prescription spectacles, sunglasses, and contact lenses;

• Sale of optical accessories and related products;

• Promotional campaigns and voucher redemptions;

• Corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and community programmes.

2.2 All optical services are provided in accordance with Malaysian laws and professional standards. Customers are advised to have a comprehensive eye examination with a registered eyecare practitioner before making a purchase of optical appliances.

2.3 We may add, remove, or change the products and services we offer from time to time without prior notice.

3. Orders and Purchases

3.1 Product Descriptions: We endeavour to ensure that all product descriptions, prices, and specifications are accurate. However, we do not warrant that they are error-free.

3.2 Pricing: All prices are listed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are subject to change without prior notice. Prices displayed are valid at the time of purchase.

3.3 Prescription Validity: Contact lens prescriptions are valid only if issued by a registered eyecare practitioner within six months of issuance. We reserve the right to verify prescriptions before fulfilling orders.

3.4 Order Acceptance: We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including but not limited to situations where:

• The product is out of stock;

• We cannot verify your payment details;

• We suspect fraudulent activity.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 We accept the following payment methods at our outlet:

• Cash;

• Credit and debit cards (Visa and Mastercard);

• Hong Leong Bank online transfer;

• DuitNow QR;

• S Pay Global;

• Zero-interest instalment plans (minimum purchase RM500, subject to cardholder eligibility).

4.2 For online payment requests, full payment details are provided separately upon request. Submitting a payment information request form does not constitute a payment transaction or authorise any deduction from your bank account.

4.3 All payments must be made in full before products are dispatched or services are rendered, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Delivery and Collection

5.1 Products may be collected from our physical outlet at BDC Commercial Centre, Kuching.

5.2 Estimated timeframes for product readiness will be provided at the time of order. We shall not be liable for any delays beyond our reasonable control.

5.3 Goods for servicing or collection must be collected within two weeks of notification. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage to goods not collected within this period.

6. Returns, Refunds, and Warranties

6.1 Refunds: No cash refunds are offered. Exchanges or returns are accepted only at our discretion and subject to the terms below.

6.2 Warranty: All warranty policies are in accordance with the terms and conditions of the respective suppliers. The warranty period is one year from the date of purchase as stated on the receipt.

6.3 Warranty Claims: If a product has been replaced under warranty, the remaining warranty period is based on the original purchase date.

6.4 Exclusions: Warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, accident, or negligence;

• Normal wear and tear;

• Unauthorised repairs or modifications.

7. Promotions and Vouchers

7.1 All promotions, vouchers, and discount offers are subject to their specific terms and conditions, which will be published alongside the relevant promotion.

7.2 In the event of any conflict between these General Terms and campaign-specific terms, the campaign-specific terms shall prevail.

7.3 Vouchers are non-transferable unless stated otherwise, valid only during the stated redemption period, and cannot be combined with other offers unless expressly permitted.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

8.1 We collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Notice , which complies with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

8.2 By using our services or submitting any form, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Notice.

8.3 You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer at data@ghlg.my.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of our services or products.

9.2 Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the product or service giving rise to the claim.

9.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;

• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

• Any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Malaysian law.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 All content on our websites, including text, images, logos, and graphics, is the property of Guan Ho Leong Group Sdn Bhd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

10.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content without our prior written consent.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

11.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.

11.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be referred to the courts of Malaysia.

12.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be published at https://help.ghlg.my/legal/terms-conditions.

12.2 Your continued use of our services after any amendments constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
